Do you think that Nifong should face charges for his actions during the Duke case?
Answer:
Yes. He has not done his duty as an officer of the court. He must either pay and/or be fired. Now that he has been fired, the next thing is those kids whose lives he ruined he needs to pay!
Absolutely. Prosecutorial Misconduct is a very serious matter.
Not criminal charges, but if I were one of the accused I would sue him for all he is worth.

Absolutely.I followed this case as I live a couple hours from Durham...long before the whole story blew up, there were signs he was hiding something...It is not like he just overlooked stuff...he ignored evidence that pointed to the boy's innocence. if there was ever a case that should be prosecuted, this is it.
For God's sake yes! That was pure corruption!
He will face worse. He lost his job, respect, and in the near future when the lawsuits hit, is income too.
of course he should! and where is the ho? its against the law to file false charges. come on, how much money did the state pay for this fiasco? she should be in the slammer right along with nifong. good grief.
Absolutely. And Al Sharpton owes at least some appologies as well.
Yes. Disbarment is not enough. Official misconduct with a short term in prison will do.
The reason why a short term will do is really quite simple. He's a prosecutor. He's an evil, malicious prosecutor. There are people inside that believe he railroaded them. They are inside. Nifong goes inside. The only question remaining is whether to bury or cremate the little shreds of meat, bone and gristle that will remain after Nifong meets his public.
Yes, I do. But I'm not sure he committed a CRIME per se. But he's going to be sued for everything he's worth. By the time it's over, he will be lucky to get a job welcoming people to Wal Mart.
Yes, he committed a hate crime.
Malicious prosecution and nondisclosure of evidence based on racial motives.
Absolutely. He abused his authority for political gain.
Yes I do, we have to have more responsible lawyers and judges, how carelessness and indifference ruins lives is only told by the sentences suffered both in an out of jail.
yes, he made the whole justice system look bad. He was just out to get those poor boys, even if they are off the hook their reputations are ruined.
