Do you think the day will ever come..?

When Canadians will have the same rights and freedoms as our American Neighbours? Eg. The right to bear arms, The right to defend yourself and your family and quit being victims/targets. The right to know where child offenders live -particularly if they live in your neighbourhood. The right to have access to records etc. Eg. check out your neighbours to see if they are Felons. The right to know how long your Doctor has been practising medicine and if there were any malpractise suits. The right to know if the Lawyer you want to hire has NEVER won a case etc
Answer:
All it takes is one person to get attention. A group to listen. A crowd to act. A city to address legislatures. A country to stand behind you.

Make the difference: start a poll at work...ask these people if they would be willing to leave a questionaire and a lock box at small town and local businesses..ask the bigger businesses if would care to join in as well...and work your way down the line. Every month for however long, collect the papers and tally them up. Send to your Senators and legislatures.

Ask staright forward questions that are yes or no. Nothing with a gray area. Ask people for their name and address on the poll. Really go for it. If "you" are in need and the majority would like a change...make it happen!

Good luck!
its not really a right its more like you doing a little research
Uh, Canadians ARE our American neighbors. As far as their rights, it's up to the people to decide if change is what they want.
I'm sorry you will never have those freedoms in a socialist government.
I don't know, I guess you can always revolt and then apply for U.S. statehood. I don't mind canadians too much, They're not a bad people until they start bitching about Americans, then it seems that they're just jealous.
you will have to overthrow your communist government to have these privileges
The day will come, that's what I think. It may not be in the near future, but I believe it will come. My basis is : Society and laws are never static, instead were dynamic, hence, the movement maybe slow.but it's sure!
Maybe that day will come for Canada when the USA has adequate health care for its citizens, less violent crime, less people in prisons, and a more egalitarian society. Be happy for what you have in Canada.
No, I don't. As far as gun owners rights, I think the U.S. is moving closer to the Canadians. Governments don't like to have their citizens armed. I have never heard of a government returning the right to own guns once it has been taken away.
I hope to God Canada never becomes like the U.S.

They do not have to bear arms.. they have less murders because not everyone is gun toting. I doubt that Canadians consider themselves victims.

It is already a law that sex and child offenders are published in the media for people to know when they are in your neighbourhood. just watch for it.

Checking out your neighbours is simply being nosey.what a world it would be if we all had the right to poke into every ones business. I believe that is the job of Mr. Bush and his gang. Canada does not need that. Hopefully, Harper, as weak as he is.. will not follow Bush's example.

I do however agree, that people, no matter what country, should be able to access records of their physicians.. not personal records but records of their work. You are right that we do have the right to know if they have ever been charged with any wrongdoings... it could mean your life.

As for lawyers.. I'm afraid it probably wouldn't matter how much you researched them.. they have the law to cover their tracks too well.

My opinion only!
